What are standard turnarounds from final round interview to offer? For context- Had final rounds for two roles this week- first on Tuesday for a publisher side role, second agency side yesterday. Both recruiters sent quick notes post interviews saying I should expect an update ASAP.

My leadership of a startup in California is very anti-COVID restrictions and has recently said that they want to force employees to come into the office, no exceptions, even though our County is still in the highest restriction level. None of our roles require anyone to be in the office to complete their responsibilities. They also don't want to follow guidelines (like masks), but I think they'd be willing to somewhat if they were forcing people in. Anyone have advice here and how you are supporting leadership through this? I don't know of any fines related to bucking the restrictions. I do know about the mandatory reporting implemented by Gov. Newsom, but that's extent of it. How are you handling this at your company?

Hi all! We hired a new member to our HR team and after seeing them perform well, their job description was added to and salary and grade increased. I have been at the company for four years and thought that I to would see an ‘extra’ increase, due to my performance and having received an unbudgeted bonus in 2021 due to performance. After my annual review my new team mate earns more than I do and we have similar HR experience and our roles are the same grade. Should I ask for further increase?

How (& who) do you ask about promotion and raises at a firm when you're new to the firm but not to the profession? Mid size boutique so there is no set path. I have lots of government experience, but I'm new to firm life. Joined my firm during WFH and didn't get a full orientation as to advancement opportunities in the firm. I think I want to stay, and need to know more to set career goals, but until my first annual eval (which isn't til August) I'm not sure how to start that conversation.

Just got notified that my h1b has not been selected in the lottery. This was my last attempt and my EAD is expiring in July. Am I eligible for cap-gap since there would probably be another lottery in September?
Work BURNOUT… LET’S TALK ABOUT IT. So a little back story. I am 38 a full full time single mom. I work about 60 hours per week. I do not get child support. My employer currently expects me to bring in 15 new customers & 100 existing every month… minimum. I have realized with my upcoming paid time off that I am burnt out. I recently have had no motivation to produce because I so desperately need a break. I sell internet and am the 2nd top producing rep in the region. Opinions to get my mojo back.
