I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

What do they both pay? Just curious.
Sounds like you like Cloudflare. AWS is very tough to move up from SDR. My suggestion would be to do the time at Cloudflare (18 months isn’t very long), get promoted, then go to AWS if that’s what you still want.

Cloud flare. Based on what you just said. People pay for happiness and what you're gaining with how you feel about AWS doesn't seem like it's worth as much to you as cloud flare
Although no denying the resume builder that Big 3 cloud is. I didn’t go into Big 4 consulting to stay forever and climb to partner, I did it for the exits opps and resume builder. Since OP is early into career I’d say go with AWS for the top training and branding and then move to Cloudflare or whatever after. Who stays at one company for the rest of their career right. Both are good big companies though and OP is in a great position regardless for start of their sales career. OP says it’s easier to rise quickly at AWS, and already has a year of SDR experience so I would go make AE at AWS fast, stay for a full sales cycle or a few and kill it, then hop to Cloudflare or other companies with potentially more equity.
Go with AWS if you can, will have way more opportunities in the future if you can do well
Questions for my friends in aws sales, looking to gain more understanding in associate account executive role as ill be interviewing.
I gather from this that what you're saying is the benefits are a tough swallow.
How was/is the team dynamic between colleagues?
Did you have to prepare mock deck presentations for the interview?
What keeps you happy at AWS?
No mock deck presentations for the interview. Team dynamics are great in the DG organization between DGs and direct managers. DG leadership is awful though. Your interview will mainly be based off of quantitative and qualitative stories associated with the LPs.
Personally I’d do AWS for the prestige, it’s Big3 cloud which is a no brainer to me especially for early career. Go through the training, get promoted to AE, and you’ll have tons of opportunities for exits including Cloudflare. Grind it out at AWS and it’ll set you up the rest of your career and you can worry about benefits (or equity offers) then.
