Hi Fishes,
I live in Mumbai. 11th July is my last day and I haven't been to office in the last 5 years. Onsite, working directly at the client site in India and then covid ensured WFH.
Please can someone let me know if it's ok to go to office in jeans and round neck T-shirt. When i was at Airoli I had cases where people were strictly made to come in formals.

Go to the Newseum. Best museum I went to and highly recommended by coworkers when I was in town for a short stay like that.
Hit up Chaplin’s in Shaw for a bomb ass happy hour (amazing drinks), Ramen, and whiskey infused dumplings!
Also Farmers Fishers Bakers restaurant and Baked & Wired cupcakes in Georgetown. Not sure how old you are but bars in Glover Park are good for young professionals.
African American Museum! But pre-warning you have to get up at 6 AM to get the tickets, they go fast.
Adams Morgan for bar hopping and great ethnic food - take your pick. Always loved the grill from ipanema
...DD1 arrogant much? OP my recs all came from people who are local and have been in the DC area for awhile.
National Mall area has all the museums, memorials and Capitol tour.
You can do Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Smithsonian, Natural History museum, Air and History museum. All of these can be done in 2 days.
Second the Newseum recommendation. If you are into art, NGA is nice. The air and space museum is awesome. A quick tip - the museums usually close by 5-5.30, while the memorials are open 24/7. To maximize a short trip, go to the museums while they are open and to the memorials after they close. Also the mall/monuments at night look awesome - so you could do museums during the day, dinner/drinks in the evening and then hit the mall/memorials at night.
Highly recommend the Holocaust memorial museum too. Eye-opening and very powerful
Ethiopian food. Highest concentration of Ethiopians outside Ethiopia, delicious food.
You can go to the Mall and you'll hit the Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the Capitol. The White House is around that area, too. These can all be done in one whole day of walking. If you get hungry, there's plenty of food trucks around that area.
If you want a fun way to do the monuments I recommend doing them at night with some road sodas. The weathers usually nicer, the crowds are smaller, and the booze is boozier
Thanks fam!! Will do 👍
Union Market for a food market with lots of good choices. 2amys for great neopolitan style pizza. Take a walk up Massachusetts avenue (embassy row). Sauf haus, roofers union and takoda for bars
Georgetown is where all the tourists go and has mostly weak food, but yes baked and wired is good
Do a free guided tour at one of the museums!!! They all have docents who are all amazing. They have tours pretty regularly so just go to whatever museum you want and ask when the next one is - or check schedules online
And seconding Ethiopian food - an absolute must. Pupusas! El rinconito dos is super no frills but their ceviche and margaritas and pupusas... (its Mexican / Salvadoran). The rooftop bar in admo is nice. If you’re a lady fish go shop at the boutique in admo, I think its called violet, super cheap and always the cutest stuff
If you end up by the White House, oysters at Old Ebbitt Grill is pretty classic
JoJos in U street is a must . Live jazz band and amazing food
