depends on the commute; otherwise, I keep 120k with 40-hour work week and great WLB and WFH. That's why I haven't left my company: 3 days WFH, great WBL, and great boss and co-worker. The pay bump would have to be significant for me to let go of all of these.

100% depends on the commute, and also depends on if the new company has a similar WLB.
A 30 minute commute as well as 45+ hour weeks? I’m keeping the 120k job.
A 10-15 min commute and 40 hour weeks? I’m taking the 150k.
Easy. $120 and do side consulting on the DL.
Just make sure not to use your work computer for it and make sure the side gigs aren’t part of the fulltime employer’s network or payroll will notify both entities.
If you want to work career path, in the long term having face time by going into an office is important for visibility, networking, etc.
After tax $30 is more like $20 for what it’s worth (depending on your location)
Going in 5 days a week would kill my soul. Maybe if it was a 100% increase not something measley like this.
That is a matter of personal preference but I would go with 150k unless the commute was really bad
Depends on whether that would affect lifestyle. If I could live just as comfortably with 120k I would much rather WFH as it’s much more beneficial to my overall happiness. If I’m in a HCOL city and the extra 30k could improve my living conditions then maybe not. But as someone who hates being in an office… hard for me to give up fully WFH 🤣🤣
Is the 120K WFH guaranteed?
What do you value more - w@h or pay?
I would take 120K - work from home is way better than commuting every day.
Depends on where you are in life and how much you’ve got saved up. If you’re 25, single and still building up assets then higher pay and in office. If you’re 40 with kids and a good base on assets / on track for retirement then WLB option.
