This happened to me as well. I was confident I was getting an offer, so I proactively let them know. They congratulated and walked me through the maternity benefits and then we planned my onboarding and staffing around my impending leave. It was fantastic and solidified my impression of the agency. They even threw me an amazing shower. That was 6 years ago... Good luck!
No need to tell them now. Get the offer first. Then, if you want to, tell them before you sign the offer. If they do anything shady or negative, you know who you’re doing with.
Hey this happened to me! I told them once I had an offer in hand!
Wait until offer is in hand and you’re clear on the benefits. Then tell them and see how they respond; it’ll tell you what you need to know about how flexible they really will be post-baby. I interviewed when I was 7 mos., got the job and better mat leave benefits than I would have with my previous company. Hopefully they recognize that good talent is more important in the big picture than to lose good talent due to the limited time you’ll be OOO on mat leave.
I told my current boss when she offered me the job verbally. She responded that she was happy for me and not to worry bc she saw it as a long term relationship. Most supportive boss on the planet. Praying they are similar
^ that is amazing! I wish that were the norm
OP, how’d it go?
Still in progress but I think I managed to hide it for the on-site interview.
Agree. Wait until offer is in writing.
