Why not just stay at your very lucrative job that many M7 grads would be very happy with? Only makes sense if you’re trying to pivot imo
There’s a whole host of jobs in PE (deal team, operating team, PortCo exec roles) and senior roles in F500 companies that opens up to this background if you go to a top MBA. They wouldn’t be going to switch into banking or consulting usually
I had a 3.0 and similar/lower level of experience than you. Got multiple t15 admits. Cast a wide net
What was your GMAT/ GRE score?
Hello, you should only set your expectations low if you intend to put forth low effort. You are capable of achieving whatever you desire, despite how high your expectations are as long as you can dedicate an equally high level of effort, consistency, and patience. You can do it
Basically the same background as me. For what it’s worth, I had a 3.3 and was able to get into 3 M7 schools. Though I feel like below 3.0 is viewed differently. Do you have any relevant stories or reasons for getting such a low GPA? I think you’ll make it into a T15 though M7 might be hard with the GPA and no relevant reasons why it happened

I had a 740 GMAT old scale. It’s high but not shockingly so
M7 will be tough but not impossible, t15 definitely in if gmat is good, and t25 you can probably pull a full ride, if your gmat is good enough.
I reccomend applying to all tiers of school. Then get scholarships by leveraging offers. Worse case they tell you no.
Thank you everyone for the great replies. If I posted this in the consulting bowl I’d get flamed
T20 is likely. M7 tougher, that’s probably a bottom 10 percentile gpa, and the absolute lowest at some. Stern didn’t accept anyone with under a 3.0.
I’ll have to score pretty high on GRE/ GMAT for it to even out on their stats for them to even consider me
Sounds like there’s a valid reason for the GPA - it would help a lot if you make sure your essays frame that you’re an extremely hard worker and your GPA isn’t a failure but a massive success showing you were able to graduate and succeed in work despite facing adversity. You should mention that you’re happy to provide proof and supporting documentation of that.
Would also help you if you’re able to get a letter of recommendation from a professor backing you up on that.
And obviously get the tests as high as possible
Thank you very much.
Got into multiple T15's with scholarships. GPA was 3.0 and GMAT was 710. My undergrad school and previous work experience was less impressive than yours. You'll be fine.
