What is your opinion on GARP financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate? I am considering taking it (as I am FS Risk Consulting), but I am not sure if it really carries benefits. Apparently it is quite a tough study. Is it worth the time or should I invest my time elsewhere? Also do you have learning material you are willing to share :D?
Applying to Wharton, CBS, NYU, MIT Round 1, wondering what else I should add based on my stats: 750 (48Q, 44V, 5IR - is this a flag?) 3.7 GPA in accounting T50 4 YOE at matriculation at Big 4 Audit with good innovation/leadership highlights. Founded club and other ECs from college, recent advisory board positions but don’t have much to list from them yet. Target is consulting.
Consultant vs specialist track - I’m considering jumping to the specialist track since I enjoy the technical work much more. However, it seems like it’s perceived as a step back. But what are the tangible differences? Lower pay and benefits? I’ve asked my cc but she doesn’t seem to have much to offer. Also, is the culture different? ….I really dislike working with hyper competitive people, most in consulting are great to work with, but there seems to be a solid 30% that are bad humans
I work for one of the big 4 consulting firms in technology. Has anyone heard of ALKU consulting? Got a call from them for job opening. Wanted to get some information before moving forward.
What are your thoughts on jumping to another firm after only 4 months with my current firm? Going from mid tier to big 4 and was offered a 25k pay bump.
Partners in BIG 4: How is your leadership reacting to location changes requested by partners? My firm is struggling to keep the people back in major cities as partners wants to move to sunny areas with no taxes. I can see both sides of the argument but trying to figure where we are likely to land.
Currently preparing for a shift to a startup, where I’ll initially be making less money than I do now in Big 4, but I believe in the mission, the founder, and the vision. Any advice for preparing for the leap?
Need best advice about making partner in the big 4. I’m in the Partner program and was expecting to go up now to be admitted next year. Am not being put up now but wasn’t given great reason why. Help?

What is it like working in PE? What type of work do people in this field normally do from week to week? Is the field generally taxing with tons of working hours or does it vary on company, industry specialization, team, etc. Currently a Big 4 management consultant and a head hunter reached out about a PE Equity Operating Associate role in the southeast region.
What accounting/industry firms (Big 4 and otherwise) offer seasonal positions for experienced professionals? At PwC we have the "flexible talent network" for people to work 3-6 months a year.
3.8 in social sciences from a “public ivy” university + 5 YOE at big 4, what GMAT could I get away with for a full ride at McCombs, Darden? What about just admission?
If you leave your job and take a month (or more) off before starting the next, what do you all do about health insurance?
Is there a big difference between MM and B4 WLB? I liked the people at the MM firm better, but don't if B4 means that much I could see myself staying.
I joined Deloitte in 19’ and don’t buy into the circlejerk that seems to go on both for / against the company - I like being a part of the firm but am underwhelmed with where the recent compensation cycle resulted. I have an opportunity with a small business to get a roughly $45k salary increase, but would have 2 sacrifice the security of Deloitte, wfh and paternity leave, which will come into play this fall as we have a baby due in November. Anyone make a similar switch before or havethoughts?
Anyone in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) space? I am AEM architect and looking for change. Open for referral, if your team/company is hiring for AEM architect/Lead? Thanks

Had an interview last week that went well. The next day, HR sent an additional application to fill out (basically same info as the online app). Is that a good sign or usual process for 2 apps? Still waiting to hear back.

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

What are your thoughts on HR’s role in ushering in the future of work? Many disagree with me but I think it’s largely impractical for Hr (and human capital consultants) to speculate on what should be
