I just get friends to proof it tbh. I’m just a couple years in so not a lot going on.

Me too same, it was fine and I got hella interviews with it

Get friends to proofread it. I’m helping a friend with theirs this weekend. Not an unreasonable request!

like

I agree with the others saying get friends to review. Realistically, just go online and use a template from Word or something like that. If you send it to an outside recruiter they will probably be able to help you polish it up or give recommendations as well and wont charge you anything.

Thank. You for all your suggestions but I’m actually pretty good at resume writing and write resumes for people. I’m looking to pivot careers so I actually need a professional so any professional resources will be appreciated

I used one and I think its 100% worth it

The Swift exit

Can someone please help me find guidance. I have read the instructions for form 1065 schedule M-3 over and over again but I can’t find anything. On page 1 of the M-3 are the adjusted total assets supposed to be on book basis or tax basis. The worksheet in the instructions pulls the Calc from the schedule M-2 which as you all know this year has to be presented in Tax basis. However the M-3 instructions say to present Adjusted Assets on Book? 🧐 very confused. Which is right

For moms who have nannies, what have you done re:pay when your kid is sick? My son had a fever/aches this weekend (Covid negative), so we gave our nanny today off paid. It’s been over 24 hours without a fever, but the nanny doesn’t want to come until all symptoms (runny nose and little cough) are gone. My concern is those could linger weeks. I don’t mind her taking off if she’s uncomfortable, but should that be paid?
And no, this is unfortunately not contemplated in the contract (my mistake 🤦🏻‍♀️).

I miss the in person contacts. Not seeing my coworkers for a long time, I have become cynical. I don't know if my boss's kindness to me is genuine, or she's just manipulating me. Video call is not a culture in my team, when my leaders are not building it.

The lead of my previous project refused to support me for promotion because I decided to roll off from the project ( although I stayed in that project for 10 more months and handed over everything perfectly) and that lead gave me a hard time when I was about to leave (excluded me from key conversation and even humiliated me). Report to my mentor but he didn’t do anything about it. Honestly I am really hurt and depressed everyday. What should I do?

We plan to provide alcohol at the wedding. The venue does the champagne toast but we provide beer, wine, liquor. We are planning on vodka & whiskey for the liquor. Ideas for beer and wine? We would like it to be affordable but still taste good. Personally we lean for dos equis beer and I drink three wishes ($3 wine) or cupcake wines. Still dont want to break the bank though. If anyone had to source the alcohol, what did you choose and were you able to order case prices? What was approximate $pp?

Additional Posts (overall)

I’ve been looking to leave PA since the summer and have interviewed and applied a few places. I only really ever look on LinkedIn, sometimes Glassdoor. I typically see the same postings on both sites so figured just searching one would suffice. But wondering if I’m missing out not constantly also looking at ladders, indeed, working with a recruiter etc. obviously the more tools you use the more you’ll find, but in general is LinkedIn enough?

Hi guys! I’m hoping to get your insights on this: I have been exploring job opportunities and applied for a position at a big company, i later found out that the hiring manager asked someone about me (someone who I’ve dealt with on a couple projects). That person is not on my list of references. I feel like someone who doesn’t truly know me is being put in a powerful position to determine my “fate”. Their judgement of me could be completely subjective. Is this situation normal?

How much am I handicapping myself leaving my firm before being promoted and working a year as a senior? I’m going from staff to staff in industry getting like a 17% raise with performance based bonus up to 10%. I’m sure that raise is much lower than it would’ve been had I gotten another year of exp but I’m leaving mostly bc I’m so miserable in public. Will this decision really impact my career/salary growth all that much in the years to come?

I’ve heard hiring really tapers off between Thanksgiving and New Years. If that’s true, when does it usually pick back up? I’ve been interviewing for industry jobs for a month now (I think I’m using the wrong recruiter), and I’m getting worried I’ll be stuck for busy season.

Is moving from audit to Siegfried a good move. If not, why. Also, what kind of doors it will open in the future. Would love to hear from people who have seen others taking this path or have made a similar move themselves.

Currently a Senior 1 (will be Senior 2) in Audit at a B4 at 84k. Definitely don’t want to continue in audit. I’m in a rotation doing transaction diligence this summer with potential for an offer at the end to fully switch to TD. (avg. salary increase ~30%). But, I also have an offer now from a regional bank to be a portfolio manager. to eventually become a commercial lender. any advice/anyone make a switch to either banking or TD and what do you recommend is better career long term?
