Can someone please help me find guidance. I have read the instructions for form 1065 schedule M-3 over and over again but I can’t find anything. On page 1 of the M-3 are the adjusted total assets supposed to be on book basis or tax basis. The worksheet in the instructions pulls the Calc from the schedule M-2 which as you all know this year has to be presented in Tax basis. However the M-3 instructions say to present Adjusted Assets on Book? 🧐 very confused. Which is right

For moms who have nannies, what have you done re:pay when your kid is sick? My son had a fever/aches this weekend (Covid negative), so we gave our nanny today off paid. It’s been over 24 hours without a fever, but the nanny doesn’t want to come until all symptoms (runny nose and little cough) are gone. My concern is those could linger weeks. I don’t mind her taking off if she’s uncomfortable, but should that be paid?

I’m hoping to get your insights on this: I have been exploring job opportunities and applied for a position at a big company, i later found out that the hiring manager asked someone about me (someone who I’ve dealt with on a couple projects). That person is not on my list of references. I feel like someone who doesn’t truly know me is being put in a powerful position to determine my “fate”. How much am I handicapping myself leaving my firm before being promoted and working a year as a senior? I’m going from staff to staff in industry getting like a 17% raise with performance based bonus up to 10%. I’m sure that raise is much lower than it would’ve been had I gotten another year of exp but I’m leaving mostly bc I’m so miserable in public. Ok Soo today I have an interview within public accounting, Wednesday is within wealth management firm and Thursday is within a PE firm. If the public accounting firm gives me an offer , how do I prolong it until Friday or next week?

I’ve heard hiring really tapers off between Thanksgiving and New Years. If that’s true, when does it usually pick back up? I’ve been interviewing for industry jobs for a month now (I think I’m using the wrong recruiter), and I’m getting worried I’ll be stuck for busy season.

Currently a Senior 1 (will be Senior 2) in Audit at a B4 at 84k. Definitely don’t want to continue in audit. I’m in a rotation doing transaction diligence this summer with potential for an offer at the end to fully switch to TD. (avg. salary increase ~30%). But, I also have an offer now from a regional bank to be a portfolio manager. to eventually become a commercial lender. any advice/anyone make a switch to either banking or TD and what do you recommend is better career long term?
