Pros: great weather, close to Tijuana. Cons: no football team
I live in Boston. The rent prices actually look cheaper in SD than they are here.
I see what EY1 did there...... zing!
I used to live there. Barely any career opportunity except biotech and Qualcomm. That's why I left. Great lifestyle though. Depending on what you are looking for
SD might be cheaper than Boston for rent purposes, but we only pay 5.15% flat on our income taxes in MA.
The Gaslamp is pretty happening though... spent a month there on a project and loved it. Maybe go out for a week and weekend, call it a trial run? Just make sure to stop by Taka for the best sushi in town
Try Denver
I'm from Boston as well and considering a move to the west! I have heard that projects are scarce out there tho....
I was on a two month project there by myself and made so many friends. Everyone is into the outdoors and fitness and is super friendly. What are you looking for OP?
I live in Boston and have lived alllll over. Currently all things it has to offer is not too shabby!
Is it because the storm in March? I'm in Boston too!
*the San Diego office.
Really... really... really expensive
Beach life! Outdoor activities like hiking, surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing etc. Vibrant bar scene too, if you're into that. Where are you moving from OP?
One of my bffs grew up there and all the local younger ppl who are unmarried leave SD and stay w friends in LA during the weekends when they want to go out. It's a great lifestyle and beautiful place but not the most happening place in terms of nightlife / dating
I love the water, but I'd do Colorado over California. I love Denver
D2 - I love traveling, so the lack of projects is actually a plus for me.
I like it here. We need a happy hour for the Boston fishes. We need a Boston RDT.
Couldn't agree more!
Snow day tomorrow aka working from home!
