Money and remote? Oh no my grass is too green and my steak too juicy ? Lol
Fully remote isn't just 15k.. It's driving expenses, gas, miles, it's how much time with traffic both ways. What about parking? Food? Will you be eating out or are the company store?
Do you have kids you want to spend more time with?
Better Brand and Exciting work all the way. Otherwise you’ll find yourself getting tired and bored and that extra 15K isn’t going to seem as awesome after. Have you tried negotiating with the company you like to bridge that 15K gap?
Remote all the way.. even if it was less money. Been remote for 20+ years will never go into an office again
Hi, hope you are doing well! May I know more about your role? I am currently looking for finance and accounting roles and I would love to work remotely as well. Hope to chat soon. Take care.
I'd take the 115k remote job but the decision is ultimately which one would you'd want. Working is a marathon not a sprint
Guess i miss read this. Still would take the remote job even if it pays slightly less. It'll basically be the same pay after accounting for in office costs
100k job. Remote, less exciting, and lower reputation is a career death sentence in the long run.
Don’t know anything about you, but if you want to progress & are high career goals - don’t go remote. Personal connections will make or break your future. And, since you’re an analyst, I’m assuming sub 30yr old, which personal interaction and social skills will mold your next 20 years of your career.
If it's that hard for you than keep the better brand for your and give the remote to someone who really needs and wants it.
I don’t understand how this is a question. Personally I’d go for the remote role all the way. Even if the pay were reversed.
What’s the name of the remote company? I might want to apply. 😜
Forget about the money or the brand. From what you’ve said, it sounds like you prefer the job at the better brand—not just because of the name, but because the work itself excites you. My recommendation is to choose what truly excites you. Money can only take you so far, but doing what you love can lead to greater success and a better income, even in the near future.
I would take a better brand & better work over the money. As I've gotten older (I'm 50), I have come to realize that money won't make me happy. I enjoy connecting with people and feeling like I'm making a tangible & meaningful difference. I just took a 10k pay cut to do something I love. Less stress, happier life, work-life balance and the opportunity to go back to school to get my degree in SW. 🥰 Do what you love & excites you...the money will follow!!🤗
Depends on your life goals and stage of life. I've just taken a less exciting role for more money, because I need more money and a better work-life balance. If I were 10 years younger, with no children, no school fees, without a collosal mortgage etc, then I'd definitely go for the job which was more exciting and which presented better opportunities.
Take the remote job and find joy outside of work
Hi, would take the on site job 100%, but in the end it depends on your preferences. I could not see myself working at home everyday. I know this would kill me more personally than professionally.
I go with brand
