A lot of places are moving to these automated video interviews where you just record yourself answering prompts. It feels so weird talking to a blank screen instead of a human being.

I feel like I lose all my personality trying to impress an algorithm. Does anyone actually prefer this over a face-to-face chat, or is it just another way for head office to save time while we do all the work?

When asked,do you disclose your current rate in an interview? Are you required to provide evidence? What is the norm? Thanks!!!

I currently make 78k at Lockheed but I’m not doing what I’d like to be doing and i felt stuck and after many conversations with my manager and no solution in sight, I started applying elsewhere. I just recently got an offer from a smaller AI company for 95k that I plan to accept. I’m happy to make the jump, I just don’t know how my manager/coworkers will react when I tell them I’m leaving.

Saw a job on LinkedIn applied for it and the CEO of the startup reached out to me saying he was game to move to the next stage of the process. Spoke to hiring manager and they even offered another position which matched my skills. Scheduled a full panel interview. Met with the team had a great chat, Founder even said "I guess you can start right away"..Hiring manager calls later says they'll update then boom that generic email hits my inbox. At this point you're just like arrrrrrgh😩

I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. How do you feel about leaving a company shortly after joining?

I've been told by people to not be loyal to companies & I've seen posts in forums where people have talked about leaving workplace 1, at workplace 2 for like 3 weeks, and already interviewing for workplace 3 (and the recruiter for workplace 3 doesn't even know that the person has left workplace 1).
