General questions that I’d ask in any interview regardless of the role:
1. expectations for role in the first 30, 60, 90 days
- the answer and the way it’s delivered will tell you a lot about challenges you’d be facing in the role and allows you to gauge how realistic those expectations are
2. How long has the role been open?
- gives you some indication to whether turnaround for the role is high.
3. Do research on your interviewer via LinkedIn and ask questions specific to them/the company
- easy opportunity to form a connection and stand out from other candidates, and the way they speak about the company will often exhibit positive or negative sentiment. Just another data point for you when it comes time to make a decision.
