Hi there, I have 3.5 YOE working for NHS Finance. I applied to Deloitte Risk Advisory, Public Sector (London, UK) and was successful. Waiting to hear back with package offer but it’s been over 2 weeks - was told they may offer M2 grade, any ideas what this is?
I’m also interviewing for Senior consultant role also at Deloitte. How much would this typically pay?
Torn whether to stay within NHS as I will be getting an internal promotion or move to Deloitte.
What’s the WLB like? Good job security?

The best way is to ask what the average take home per shift actually looks like. Not the best night, the average night. If management cannot clearly explain how tips are split or what servers typically walk with, that is a red flag. A strong tip environment should have numbers people are comfortable sharing.
Yeah I guess If minimum works, maximum would be great!
It is really hard to evaluate before you actually work there because tips vary so much based on day of the week, time of day, etc. I would try to do your research online and see what people say about that specific restaurant.
Yeah I guess! It’s just a hard thing to debate on!
The experience is worth it. Its a good Way to change your field without hurting the Bank. But you need to remember this. You will only nake what you put into it. If you half ass your work you're going to only hurt yourself. But give it a try and you never know you might wind up liking it. It's fast money and it's always in your pocket. If that helps.

That’s a hard one. Sometimes tips really are huge and other times it’s horrible. Only way to find out is to talk to a server and get the true facts or just to try it out.
That’s true. It really just depends doesn’t it!

I guess it’s all based on the level of business they’re doing. Definitely ask how much volume they see on an average day, if they’re comfortable sharing you can also ask about check average. As someone else here mentioned, you can ask what the approx take home pay is…
That’s true!
Hi, I have been working as a server for 7 months at a company with similar pay structure.
It is really difficult! Some weeks, I’ll leave with almost $200, others I will leave with $50.
That being said, I do work at a nicer store with generally a lot of movement.
The reason I stay is I need a job regardless but if you can, try to find other jobs :).
