@OP, foolish words of a typical analyst. Don't hate, appreciate. Backpacks are healthy for your back and posture. Plus the added benefits of being able to carry a lot more things relative to your pockets, briefcase, small bankers' duffle bag, etc. Also to note, my reference to backpacks are the small efficient hiking/running backpacks offered by Osprey 🦅, not the big bulky Jensport I wore in grade school.

Again, a rather uninformed opinion of someone who probably hasn't been in the workforce for a long enough time, and also gives unnecessary importance to insignificant superficial details such as what bag you wear to work, without really realizing the return over investment, or the lack of generalization of the statement.
Backpacks are completely acceptable. A bunch of MDs I know/known over years (and I am an AVP now) wear backpacks to work.
Why don't we rather focus on the quality of our work than time and again pointing out things like these that do little but highlight to the world how confined and limited your experiences are?
Hi backpack crowd. I love it when you cram into the elevator or subway with me. And then turn side to side, oblivious that your backpack sticks out a foot. It makes my fucking day.... I'm with OP.
Agreed with @GS 1. I don't use a backpack to work because I don't carry anything to work other than a tiny duffle with gym stuff. But there are loads of other times where a backpack is practical and I will use it. Not trying to fuck up my shoulders and back just to be more fashionable

Lolz if you think that you are mistaken. Backpacks>>gym bags you have to carry. I can see how they may look silly with a suit but for normal business casual I see no issue whatsoever. This is just dumb.

I wear feminine office type backpack. Love it, cuz my neck/shoulder no longer hurts from carrying laptop in one shoulder

I'm wth @GS1. I never use a backpack for work because I don't carry anything. But I still use backpacks all the time on weekends. Fashion be damned.
