Fish, I’m up for a promotion in April and pretty certain I’ll be promoted to a PM role at a (big) e-commerce co. I’m definitely underpaid in my role right now, and want to make sure I come prepared to talk comp at my review, because I should be making about $40K more for the Manager position based on industry rates. Any advice on how to speak to a larger salary when given the promotion? Should I bring it up right away or schedule a follow up meeting with HR?

Got turned down without interviews for all roles at google, visa, and salesforce with referral 🥲. Some roles were a bit far reach but most are within relevant exp (PdM and strat ops). Sadness
