Most Sales people would transition to marketing specialist or any strategist position. I came from Sales and working as a corporate strategist after being a sales executive fits like a cork in a bottle.

If you can sell, you can sell, so you should have no problem transferring to a different sector. Or are you referring to an exit from sales altogether?

Exit from sales altogether.

Probably some sort of HR Coordinator or Recruiting Coordinator role would work with sales experience. Staffing would be an easy career to transition to too.

I had a buddy exit sales for Project Management. Does pretty well for himself and makes 125k plus bonuses.

May I ask why you do not like sales?

You can function in the administrative division easily with all the sales skills you have. More organization and more on the line but if you're successful in sales, you've got this.

Im in Sales and I’m looking to transition into a Customer Success role. Rather sell tech vs. cars.

I have a friend who also worked as an SDR for a few years before he transitioned to tech, he's a game dev now. He learned everything from scratch. The thing with him was that he was so passionate about it that he did not mind the obstacles that he had to encounter.

Foreign LLM student here. I plan to take the NY bar exam in February. I’m thinking of taking a bar prep course (most likely Barbri). They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? In case it is helpful, I come from a civil law country. Thanks!

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.

Anyone have experience working in sales for a startup? What are things to consider? Got a recruiter contacting me about an open position very similar to what I do now, at a startup.

I started in my first SDR position in a small SaaS start up few months ago. I am the only SDR and their first ever.
The base salary is ok but I haven’t received any commission structure up to this day.
I book an average of 3-5 demos per week. People always show up, but the thing that worries me is that I do not have a way to track how many meetings I book in our CRM,and to be honest I feel like I didn’t get the best training overall. Should I start looking somewhere else? Thoughts?
