ACN for sure. Better benefits and salaries in cohort model is more appealing than deloitte’s
It probably depends on where your focus is industry/function. They both have strengths and weaknesses All else equal - ACN does have better benefits and tends to treat home grown folks more competitively from a comp perspective. Anecdotally, I have also heard promotion at ACN is easier than it is at D. I haven’t worked at D to say for certain though. Overall, there is a healthy pipeline of talent to and from (and in between) the two companies. One is not inherently better than the other.
This - it is very hard to find your footing if you come in experienced. Most experienced hires leave
Have loved my time at ACN strat, would highly recommend
D S&A. I am former ACN Strat, think exits from D S&A is a little better
ACN Strat prob has better culture, but our salary progression and bonuses are awful. Progression got worse last year, not better.
If interested in more growth strategy and things like that, D S&A. Also for exit opps, prob D. If you want to stay long term in consulting and want to get paid more, Accenture Strategy for sure.
If our friends over at Deloitte S&A want to compare comp notes (Accenture S): A: 87.5 SA: 97.5 C: 117.5 C2: 127.5 C3: 150 C4: 155 M1: 175 M2: 185 M3: 195 SM1: 215 SM2: 225 SM3: 235 SM4: 245 MD: 300 Bonuses tend to be 🥜

And if you’re an mba hire, then Deloitte will pay more in base and in bonus I believe
Im in S&A and have had some great projects.
All else being equal, I'd take Deloitte because I think it's a stronger brand in the non-tech space. However, the decision should most likely come down to the practice or team you'd be working with and the work youd do -- the corporate level differences are ultimately negligible and what matters is the experience you would have and get, which are determined at the practice/team level
