We talk about keeping rigor in our classes, however I’m finding my HS students need straight forward instructions. Most students are struggling to meet their Maslow’s needs that to use higher Blooms seems like a stretch. I understand A&M comp is primarily derived from the annual bonus based on collections/performance. However, given the significant increase in Big 4 FDD comp this year, are there any plans to raise the base salary for A&M? I have to pay rent every month not just annually 🤣

Currently a staff in audit - 6 months in. Glad to be learning a lot, and have had a generally positive experience at the firm other than a few interactions, some tough busy season nights. Really been intrigued by TAS/M&A, however, and had a few convos with a senior in TAS i know at the firm. It’s closer to what I studied, but don’t know how to make the jump as it seems an internal transfer could take 6+months/senior rank and a lot of convincing. Is it better to jump firms/has anyone done this?

How long were you a senior in FDD before things started to click? Really enjoying everything so far but feel like I am behind my peers. Been about 7 months now.

What is the FDD PwC equivalent at the other big 4 called? Is it also FDD? Thinking of applying to all to compare offers.

Are global sabbaticals possible in TAS (from US to UK)

FDD/TAS Senior > Restructuring (Rx) analyst or associate (FAS/Banking) - Has anyone seen it done before? Would starting from Valuation instead of FDD be a better stepping stone to Rx banking. Also, I would imagine the best Rx banking exit would be to HL. Is FTI Rx (FAS) considered better than EY-P Restructuring consulting? How about compared to AM Rx (FAS). Thanks for any input!

I think KPMG has a pretty good training and onboarding process for new FDD hires (Lakehouse bootcamp, reading and training materials for review, and the shadow program). How’s onboarding and training looking like for PwC / EY / Deloitte?

Does anyone have experience/knowledge regarding whether the different B4 deal analytics teams 1) work remote 2) still travel? Looking to potentially make a switch but have heard different things across the board, including seeing that most of the job postings for senior roles in these groups are tagged to offices and don’t say remote.

Are people at other firms doing value creation bits along side FDD work? Or so any work identifying value creation opportunities? It just amazes me sometimes that we’re not involved in any value creation work alongside DD, when we are in the detail of the business and having regular conversations with C executives
