After one year as a full-time contractor, my employer reduced my billable hours to zero citing a reduction in work and transitioned me to on-call, project-based work. Basically I'm still employed with them but I have zero hours until they call me back when work picks up.

I've already applied for unemployment in the meantime and I'm starting to look for a new job.

But what else would you all recommend I do?

I have a question for my fellow PI paralegals in Texas. TPCIGA requires that we submit all medical bills through the clients insurance before proceeding further. The client in question has Aetna. I sent the bills with a cover letter to Aetna via certified mail. I am having so much trouble getting a status on said claim. Does anyone here have experience with that and can assist me? I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better.
