After one year of unemployment, I’m happy to announce that I’ve interviewed with 4 out of 5 major tech companies: AWS, Google, Microsoft, and Nvidia.

I was rejected by all of them, and I still haven’t received a single job offer.

But I’m choosing to celebrate this milestone anyway—because getting interviews at these companies is no small feat.

Wow you have high standards, you can prob get some mid size company easily you know and don’t have to be unemployed for a full 1 year

It's weird. This came through, but the timestamp is wonky. Fwiw, I've been looking for work for nearly a year, too, and your suggestion that the poster (or me) could solve our problem by lowering our standards came across so profoundly tin-earred, I reacted poorly and wasn't my best self. I'm sorry. You are not a turd but you could be more sensitive to realities you are not experiencing. Like the poster, I'm an experienced person, and while I have happily sought jobs paying $100k less than what I made before I was laid off, interviews are scarcer than they've ever been in my career. I'm pretty sure the problem isn't my standards, but the fact that this is an epically shitty job market. If you're fortunate enough not to know this, I'm truly glad for you.

Wow. Just getting interviews there is tough.

Right size your applications, you have been out of work far too long to be shooting for highly exclusive roles. Time to go back to contributing to society

I was thinking conditional format, but it’s identifying duplicate labels. I have over 80,000 cells, so extracting URLs manually isn’t going to work for me.

Got an offer for Sr. Financial Analyst for 85k & 10% annual bonus. What's a good counteroffer? I told the recruiter 95k-110k when I first interviewed. This position is 100% remote, headquartered in VA. I live in NYC. Have roughly 2 YOE.

Thanks.

Hello all. My company just went through an acquisition and the company did some restructuring of job titles. When they did this we were all advised the company would be making sure our jobs pay aligned with the national average.
My issue with this is my job title went from a Technical Support Supervisor to a Customer Success Team Lead. I have voiced my concerns with management but have been advised job titles are semantics. In my eyes this is a demotion, and will affect how much my job is worth.

Got offer from JPMorgan Chase , but variable pay percent was not mentioned in it. HR told it will be around 10-12% . Is it true? It's for VP/602/Commercial Banking? How much we variable pay will get annually? Can someone help as based on this only in have to decide whether, I can go with counter offer or not?

Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring. Attached is a picture of them.

What should I do now?
