Sometimes it feels like customer service is just trying to calm down a large, angry toddler.

An open letter to all customer service workers:

"Dear customer service,

Thank you for trying to calm down the large, angry toddler. Sometimes it can be very frustrating having to deal with them. I know that you are just trying to help, and I really appreciate it. Thank you for your patience and kindness."

Customer service is about meeting the needs of the customer and providing support. Toddlers are still learning and may not be able to communicate their needs effectively. Customer service is about supporting the customer through their journey.

Made a comment about a specific city being good to raise kids in bc of accessibility to good schools/colleges, and SO freaked out because he thinks I’m trying to keep him in one spot (both of work in this city, my family is here and his is not). He thinks I’m trying to stay close to my family and isolate him from his, which is not my intention at all. Told me it was a big red flag and he hasn’t talked to me since. What should I do?

How to deal with change? 1 year out of college and living with 3 of my best friends, just talked about living together for next year but they are all moving to new cities. Another friend is moving to my city so I’ll be living with them but I can’t help but feel a little lonely/like a huge stage of my life is over. Any tips for dealing with this change? I guess I also feel a little guilty because I’m pretty covid conservative so I’ve turned down social outings this past year because of that.

I've been with my gf for almost 6 months now. For context she's still in grad school (we have a 2 year age gap) and I'm struggling to feel physically attracted to her. I have a good job, decent amounts of stress, I like to work out, spend time with friends, and am very outgoing. She's super sweet, kind, sensitive, and brilliant. I find her attractive but I find the fact that she's always up in my business and available to me unattractive. She also just got an amazing job in another state (1/2)

Hello friends,

My spouse is looking for a change in manual testing. She is looking for work from home (wfh)opportunities. Actually we have a 3.5yr old ,nursery class going kid. I sometimes feel very bad whenever he returns from school and misses his mumma lot.
After marriage and pregnancy, she already had a career gap. If again going to take a gap that might be a career problem.
The solution we are looking for WFH opportunity where she can manage her motherhood loves as well as professional lfy

Spouse is a state department employee and currently overseas. I’m a manager with three years of experience in consulting and 8 years of experience in the military where I left as a O-3 (GS-12 equivalent). SO wants me to take a non-negotiable family member hire role at the embassy overseas for one year so we can co-locate. Job sounds interesting, but is a non-negotiable GS-6 equivalent. Family life would be great but am I derailing my career permanently? Can I explain this in the future?

I understand that time to market is important in consumer product goods, but being constantly behind schedule and rushing everything is terrible for the team's morale.
