happiness > everything.
i personally am transitioning to a different role (CS ops) at the same company - even taking a slight pay cut to do so - because i took a good, hard look at what i value and what i want long-term and product management is not it. i personally value work-life balance and being able to pursue side hustles outside of work to generate passive income and product management has not allowed me to do that. the role of product management innately requires you to make your job your life and i am done with it.
this is just my own personal experience. for you, i would recommend reflecting on where you see yourself in 3-5 years and decide if what you’ve experienced in product management up to this point aligns with that (or not).
sorry to hear that and unfortunately unless you’re in a product lead company and your C suite sees the value of product management you’re just another number to them.

How much of a sabbatical do you think would allow you to reset? How much PTO do you have available to you?
Requesting a sabbatical is a good first step. If they say yes, you’ll be happy you asked. If they say no, you still have some options.
If they don’t give you a sabbatical, you may want to talk to a mental health professional to see if you might be able to go out on long term
disability. It’s not full pay, but it would hold your position while you’re out, and you’d still get paid something.
