After two rounds of interviews at JPMC, HR contacted me and requested all my documents. Since there was no update for around 10 days, I followed up regarding the HR round/status.

Now they are saying that the HR round has been cancelled because the role itself has been put on cancelled, and they are instead looking for contract-based hiring.

Just wanted to understand — is this something common at JPMC? Has anyone else experienced a similar situation after completing multiple interview rounds.

Anyone willing to refer to a role at Flatiron Health?

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?

I recently got a job offer through a company that offered me the high end of what I was asking (75k) but since it is the high end of what I asked for, do I have room to negotiate?
