Any antitrust experts want to opine on the FB news? I’m certainly no expert, haven’t read the actual complaint, and am all for competition laws, but it does strike me as odd that the FTC is coming in long after the fact to scrutinize certain acquisitions.

I have a friend who was let go a few months into his first job after college (reason: the manager felt like he wasn't grasping the training content to the level that was expected). He's worried about if he should put the experience on his resume anyway, if he does will recruiters ask why he had such a short time at this place, and what will recruiters think if he explains he was let go. What are some things recruiters expect from candidates in this situation to continue considering them?

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. So if you need medical help, or want to eat, it’s ok for those people to be at work, but their kids have to stay home? Cont’d >>

The latest Democratic narrative is quite cute: Trump purposely gets COVID, to get cured by some magic potion not available to the public, to come back an American hero so he can get sympathy votes. Yo, you guys listen to yourself? Like pause and reflect. This is not going to end well for the left in November man

Hey All - Can we agree to make a collective effort to reduce the repeat content here? Things are moving quickly and we don’t always have time to check, but having 2-4x of the same link/tweet/topic splits any convo and exhausts interest in engaging multiple topics bc new ones are hard to find.

Are there any conservatives like me left anymore? The ones who are pro-democracy, pro checks and balances in governance, support liberal markets, have a global outlook that reinforces the soft power we’ve projected abroad for 70 years?

All there’s left of my party is a collection of vacuous bumper sticker slogans like ‘lock her up’, peddling conspiracy theories, and chest-thumping support for ‘law and order’ — without actually respecting the law, norms of governance and our institutions.

1) Donald Trump has not condemned the group who plotted to kidnap Governor Whitmer and blow up a bridge to both hurt and possibly kill police officers so they couldn’t get to her.

2) He not only encourages the crowd at his rally to chant “lock her up” (which is incredibly insensitive, divisive, and incendiary) but himself yells “lock all of them up”

These are two very small, very clear examples of why rhetoric matters when you’re the leader and chief of the United States of America.
