You earned it so it is ok to put it after your name. Not everyone has one, so it makes you stand out from the rest.
It’s not a huge deal, but I lean towards no. If people want to look at your educational quals, they are listed below.

As in “,PhD”? I would if I had one… why else do you get a PhD?
Great insight, thank you! I totally agree, if you’re able to defend your PhD you absolutely earn that right. I take no issue with it, but the perception is my concern.
My thing more so is I am actually passionate about my work, credentials aside, and I’d rather people meet me then find my LinkedIn or something and see I have it as opposed to seeing me scrolling and pre judge. For me I would rather be judged by my work than credentials. I think the humility is all I’m aiming for.
A colleague who has their PhD asked me why I didn’t advertise it in that way. I work with the hourly guys and gals a lot to look at gaps they see on a day to day basis and do work at higher levels to make their lives easier. Our C-suite knows, as does my team, and at that level it doesn’t matter to me at all. I just don’t ever want to seem arrogant or like a know it all when I’m talking to people with high school diplomas. I prefer to just roll up my sleeves and listen vs lecture and not get any inputs from them

It makes you stand out in the wrong way, as someone vain focused on titles. Having a PhD is definitely a big achievement, you can showcase that in your education section of your LinkedIn profile.
Keep walking in your purpose and your purpose will open the right doors for you - there is a reason why on your life’s journey you were able to get your doctorate don’t let anyone dim your light.

You definitely should.. The tools are the ones "flexing" MBAs, especially when they are from weak programs or for-profit schools.
I see people putting other titles that are a lot less impressive

If you add one its ok, specifically a PhD
It gets annoying when the "certifications" are longer than the name itself

Do it. It's only cringe if it's in some wishy washy topic or from an online for-profit university.

Yes
Sounds like you assume too much. I use it everyday and it was a fully funded program. I understand why academics do it. I would rather not be regarded as an academic, but by my work, hence the question.
