Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. Hello! I need some (creative) suggestions on how to do a video interview. I live in a very small 1br apartment with my husband occupying the bedroom for work during the day and a 2 yr old occupying the living area. I thought of the kitchen but it’s proximity to a busy road makes it a little too noisy to have a good call. The bathroom perhaps? Will that create an echo? I am thinking of using a backdrop so that the mess will be covered up. It will be a 30-min interview.

What is a simple way to explain to my boyfriend that investing in equity with an expected return of 10% is better than paying off debt that is growing at a rate of 6%. He has student loans and is adamant that he wants to pay all of them off immediately before saving any retirement money. I understand that many individuals use this strategy but I think investing in index funds for the long haul is better from a wealth accumulation perspective, without even factoring in tax implications of 401k
