Am trying to BEGIN the PERM process with KPMG Law, only 3 years left on my H1B and my request to determine if I'm eligible to apply based on YOE, etc. is still lingering on (3 months and counting) when all they have to do is look at my job description. I'm worried their slow-playing will cause my visa to eventually expire. Is this normal? What are the escalation paths?

Hi! I recently switched to a new employer, who promised in writing on email that they’d start my GC process right after I complete 3 months with the firm. I’m currently on the 4th month and the process has not yet begun.
Please note that I have to give a couple of exams/certifications, one of which I failed very recently. This is keeping me from asking my employer about the GC process. Am I being irrational? Any advice or help would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
