An established ad agency set me up to fail - now I’m motivated to push my career further than ever. I received no onboarding from the account team. There wasn’t an intake tracker, a RACI nor a scope tracker in place. My remit tripled from one account to portfolio of several, my responsibilities increased yet my salary remained the same. It’s time to walk off this plantation. I’m exhausted and burnt out. So wishing everyone here a happy BHM - log off - the nonsense will be there on Monday.

Has anyone here gone from PM to Resource Management or vice versa? There seem to be a lot of resource management jobs out there, but they seem more monotonous than managing projects. What is the career trajectory for a RM?

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. LMAO what do Afro Latinos look like? I just asked a creative to include more pictures of Afro-Latinos in our hispanic messaging and she said "I tried to find pictures of videos that looked authentic but they didn't have the right look, it's a very specific look". So no black people in the ad cause this white passing lady needs to gate keep who looks latina enough. The blond, blue eyed women in the photos passed though... UGHH.
