FIA seems intent to do everything to make sure nothing exciting happens. You'd think they'd want to piggy back off DTS in US with this deal instead of making new hoops for Andretti to jump through
In all honesty this bowl is a bubble. 90-95% of the US population still doesn't care for F1 or even know who won it last year.. I can tell you from my own experience I have 1 work colleague who follows F1 and from my fantasy football league group of over 20-30 ppl who are hard-core US sports fans, not a single person other than me follows F1
If you want to compare, look at the number of members in this bowl vs even the golf bowl... golf has almost 300 more members...
It just isn't going to compete against Nascar in the US. Think of F1 as a refined fine wine vs Nascar as the layman's beer.
The beer is going to win in the US.

It's hard to argue for or against it without knowing the details of their proposal.
For example, do they have access to 5 years of funding for the team to maintain the team until they can get some substantive prize money?
What's their hiring plan for technical staff?
What will they be doing to actively improve the sport and bring in additional revenue that will add to f1's already aggressive growth goals?
Rising Star
What they may not have:
- significant engineering experience in an aero-based non-spec series
- a manufacturer backing them that is willing to deal with multiple poor seasons before they actually start to see results (board level commitment comes and goes, just look at what Honda and Renault continually go through)
- the ability to actually bring in more of a US audience. With three US races and DTS, F1 is already doing really well in the US. Realistically, how much more can they actually bring in? As it's been said before, the US audience likes winners. That's the reason Verstappen and Hamilton are hugely popular in the US. We already have a US team, the reason they don't get the love is that they're not winning.

I have to say, it’s a bit ridiculous that F1 and the FIA keep moving the goal posts when the concord agreement allows for team expansion. Then he keeps meeting those moved goal posts.
Andretti as a team owner/manager has been significantly more successful then his career driver (overall speaking) and he was a successful driver.
