Hi Everyone, I have been an HR Generalist for close to 7 years. I had good managers and poor managers in between. My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. Looking for advice on salary durring and interview process.

How would you guys approach lowballing yourself during the application process with the mandatory range field. I think I did this by 20-30k. My interview is next week. I hate participating on Glassdoor and somehow really effed up researching before I put my range.

Is there a consultancy out there that is focused more on delivering products, solutions and agile outcomes rather than getting hung up on reams of PowerPoint slides and decks after decks that just say the things client might want to hear with tons of micro level management of the language? Please let me know because I am at the end of my tether. Do I need to move to industry? I love the variety of consulting but tired of playing language and graphics games...

Pretty sure the answer is self explanatory but first year with real status. Does Marriott status reset Jan 1? For instance if I need 10 nights for Platnium am I SOL if I stay 9 nights by Dec 31?

I still have a 35k Marriott free night set to expire 6/30 if anyone wants it. I have titanium status so it should also come with free breakfast and a pretty good upgrade chance (especially if it’s only a one night stay).
