Any BCG folks have any insight to the Pymetrics test? Is it used to determine whether I get an interview and is it something I can prepare for before taking?

My joining in Accenture is on 19th December and I got selected in TCS also. But TCS HR is saying that offer rollout is now frozen till 31st December and it will open on 2nd January,2023 and then he will immediately send the offer letter. He has given guarantee for that. Should I wait for TCS? Looking at the coming recession situation I am confused where to join. CTC almost same for both. Track is Identity and Access Management and experience is 4.5 years.

I have an offer with CITI which I have signed and sent it back to them. And I have an interview scheduled with Luxoft next week. And my LWD is Oct 21. Looking for a home office chair…I need something really ergonomic/comfortable but given the visibility of the office in the house the wife wants something stylish. She keeps calling all my ideas ‘gamer chairs’ even though they’re definitely not. Anyone have any chairs they really like that may be worth looking at? Implementation consultant role at Mck. Worth the transition from T2 regular Strategy and Operations work?

McKinsey: what is internal perception/reputation of your different practices? For instance, corporate finance practice is the most sought after but yields ~80 hour weeks, M&S practice is the most collegial, etc.

Although I’m not even sure whether those are ways in which practices are internally perceived/discussed, I’m still curious!

Do any of the MBB have formal partnerships with any law firms? I.e. you refer your clients to them for legal needs and they refer their clients to you for consulting needs.

At my current firm, been seeing a lot of people get extended until eternity on the same project / clients. One of the big draws of consulting was the variety, which I am not getting here. Just signed with an MBB. Will I finally get project variety or will I continue to work at one client for up to a year?

I’m curious… at MBBs, what would you guess is the % of folks who leave (due to WLB, etc.) and get “asked to leave”? I imagine it’s different after the EM/PL level but curious to see what it’s like on the other side. (Difference with Big 4 is that you have a bunch of folks who just well… stick around at their level well past their due date.)

McK website says need 5 YOE to even go for Associate which seems absurd.
