Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

Lots of apartments around the area depending on your budget. Check out Zillow for river North/loop/west loop.
Wolf point east/west, onnee, Presidential Tower are some on top of my head.
Like I said, it totally depends on OPs budget.
Luckily public transit here is pretty reliable. Any neighborhoods within a 10-15 minute train/bus ride is ideal (River North, West Loop, Lincoln Park, Old Town, Gold Coast, Lakeview). There’s plenty more neighborhoods outside of those but those are the most fun for young professionals, in my opinion. Purple and Brown line drops off directly at merch mart so living next to one of those lines will be the most convenient for you. The r/chicago and r/askchicago have lots of info related to moving and neighborhoods too if you want more diverse opinions.
The loop!
