Any entertainment law opportunities in DC? I’m currently in LA practicing in the industry, but all my family is back on the east coast.

I'm working for a NY entertainment firm remotely from DC. Don't know how you feel about remote work but this lets you live in a cheaper city but still work in the NY market.

Hi, circling back here! Any update on whether you all are hiring 😩

Obviously NY is an option, but it’s too expensive (currently in big law, but want to go to a mid-size/boutique firm or in-house, which comes with a pay cut)

Just to add, DC is definitely much cheaper than NYC. This is based on my experience living in DC and currently exploring a move to NYC.

Hmmm. NY might be your best bet. I’ve been trying to break into LA, any tips?

Thanks. And to your last point, that’s what I’m leaning towards. (Firm’s LA entertainment practice group)

How do people focus in the office? I'm a first year and I've been mostly wfh since I started and I'm super productive at home - my setup is comfortable, I rarely get interrupted, and I feel like I can stay really focused in my home office.

Our SAs started today, so the firm is making us come in more often. My office set up is so awkward, screens are too small, and I'm constantly getting interrupted. Not to mention the extra time it took to get ready and commute. How do people do this?

Hello Guys,

I joined
Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?

As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Hi
Applied for a position in Johnson and Johnson Canada. Reached the final round 3 weeks back. After not getting any updates I emailed the HR a couple of weeks back. They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter). No response whatsoever. Will emailing them again be inappropriate? I desperately need this job

General question, and I suspect the answer is no. Are there any employment or exec comp-related jobs in the entertainment industry? Or, are there any law firms purely focused on entertainment that have a comp/employment/benefits group? I’m at a large firm with a lot of high profile artists, but I’d like to narrow my practice down to entertainment.
