Yes. Major practical differences are a higher volume of matters, the need for more quick turnarounds, and a faster upward trajectory
I went from ID to entertainment transactional. It took years, but I’m glad I had the litigation - particularly ID - background.
A few at my firm have, can’t speak for them but it was mainly to escape an abusive partner I think. It’s definitely more lowkey and they aren’t going crazy with briefs but there is a lot to manage w regard to various things to keep track of.
I’m on the lit side but I’d guess not.
