Our group is thinking of hiring a RE paralegal, but we don't entirely know what they'd do. We haven't had any paralegals in our real estate group in apparently 30+ years, so we're just not sure what is appropriate paralegal support.

Traditionally an Integrated Producer is one who manages production across all platforms for a client or clients. Is that not correct? Why do some job postings refer to integrated as if it is a PM? Why do some refer to it as a producer who manages site development and analytics? Can someone explain what exactly agencies are talking about these days when they say “Integrated Producer”?

read everywhere it takes minimum 2 appraisal/ years to get promoted from B3 band to C1 band. Is that true?my current ctc in wipro is 26.5+1lac JB ( joined in feb 2022) 8.6 YOE now, business analytics skill..expectation is to reach 30lacs for the next appraisal, however i understand its impossible to get 13% hike in wipro.

A junior associate has taken leave 3 times in the past 2 weeks and I’m working w him on an IPO (just the 2 of us). I missed a deadline for producing the due diligence reports because I had minimal help. Shoddy first drafts were provided and he was super patronising - basically thought he was doing me a favour since I was leading the transaction and was client facing. I’ve complained to the partner but the partner said he doesn’t see what took so long. Literally on the verge of rage quitting.

I’m a new patent prosecution associate and unfortunately only just now realized that maybe prosecuting patents isn’t something I want to do long term. I loved copyright (and trademark) in law school, but I have loans to pay off. Should I stick it out in my current role to pay them off before I jump ship to a new practice area or will I be pigeonholed forever to patents if I stay here for 2-3 years?

Still learning the music business but have been in it for past few years. Built great relationships with a lot of artists at labels - i don’t have a law degree but would it be possible to partner with an attorney and source deals for them in exchange for a commission?

I’ve been practicing for 6 years in-house at a media company (was a startup when I joined and is now more established), straight out of law school. Due to the small nature of our team (3 legal members), I have been involved in all areas of our business and even advise c-suite frequently about legal risks. I received a promotion, with another title bump on the horizon this year. I have an opportunity to go to a start-up media company as the sole attorney. Anyone else have experience doing this?

Party A (licensee) signed a non-exclusive license with B (licensor). B subsequently signs an exclusive license with C (second license).

Does the signed exclusive licensing agreement impede on A’s non-exclusive rights, OR is the exclusive license subject to the prior non-exclusive agreement? OR is the “exclusive” license automatically deemed non-exclusive but still valid?

Note: the initial non-exclusive license stands in perpetuity.

Got an offer at a boutique firm, they are offering mid-100k (3 YOE, but I’m retooling). Great opportunity (like, I really love everything about it), and I’m prepared to take a pay cut, but the salary seems especially low. Any insight into what talent-side boutiques are offering in high COL areas (LA, NY)?
