Is anyone planning on trading water futures?
I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

It totally depends on the office and practice. So someone who worked in the Atlanta or New York lit practice won’t be able to tell you what lit is like in LA.
I was at a top firm for 4 years, then did a federal appellate clerkship. I had lots of options and am going to GT because they are paying be above Cravath. But that’s just because of the office and practice I’m going to. You could make $100k less doing the same work.

I mean i wouldn't go there if I had other Big Law options but it's better than working in midlaw

Below market pay, weird firm set up where each office is an island, less sophisticated work than other BL firms
Don’t do it. Just don’t.
Entirely office dependent; also type of litigation.
I do IP lit and make more than Milbank scale, but general lit assocs in the same office make about $150-$225k less than Milbank.
Some white collar folks make near market or market, if rumors are true, but most lit work is sub-$900/hr for even senior associates so no justification for Milbank pay.

This is what I found talking to associates around the country. Several lit practices pay above Milbank!
