Don’t go to RSM. This is coming from someone who was just let go by RSM. You have 99% chance of getting lowballed! My annual comp went up by $725.25 from TY24 to TY25. I’m an sr associate in VHCOL.
Don’t go to RSM. Transfer within PWC. This is coming from someone who went from Big 4 audit to RSM advisory
Thanks for replying, can I ask why you wouldn’t recommend it? I’d like to transfer internally but it’s likely going to take me another year or two based on the track of some of my peers who’ve transferred. I have an RSM offer in hand already at the moment.
There is no such thing as the accounting and finance consulting deals group. That said, WLB at RSM is not as great as it used to be, we’re understaffed and then rely too much on undertrained staff. The grass isn’t always greener but I know we can’t keep up with B4 comp
I’d say max hours during a consulting peak season is 60 and it’s not sustained. Average 45-50 hours year round with a few crazy weeks here and there and you will do well here.
