It's plain slavery. If you want to sell your soul for peanuts then join that organization. Join if you like to play politics and build your way up.
OP - I agree with C1. I am an Indian and the factors stated by C1 are the exact reasons why I left India.
One time, I interviewed at tata consulting. I had been laid off about a month earlier, so I was kinda desperate for anything. Or so I thought... until I saw tata consulting.
They were an hour late for their own interview. That I flew in for. Which they double booked- meaning the other guy had to wait ANOTHER hour. He probably missed his flight back.
They took 2 months to give me an offer, and it was for 70% of what I'd asked for. Despite being unemployed, I outright rejected them. Best decision ever
Oh wow! That is terrible to hear. I would have done the same thing. It’s looking more and more as if I need to decline their invitation.
Depends on practice area and level. Personally had a good experience interviewing. Was offered 30% base increase, met those I would work with and for (former Big 4, Accenture, IBM people) bright and w vision, opportunity to grow a practice. Not all rosey but not all bad either
Thank you MD 1 for your insight! I’m hoping to have a similar experience as you.
