I don’t know about you but when I chat with the teens in my family, I feel like Euphoria looks a lot more like millennial high school than gen Z. Normal teens nowadays are a lot less addicted than teens when I was in high school. Or maybe all my cousins live in a bubble. (Not saying they are all angel but their generation sounds more conscious)

That's intense. In my high school it was a huge scandal any time someone was caught with a joint
You must’ve been at a lame goodie two shoes school
It might be difficult to relate or realize for many adults who grew up with drinking and weed as the taboo, but the opioid wave missed most of them and it’s very much alive and rampant in lower income area schools.

That is really interesting. I went to high school in the early 90s and no one touched opiates. Plenty of drinking and marijuana and the rich kids did coke, but pills weren’t really a thing and nobody did morphine or heroin.

I also grew up in a rural community so drinking was something everyone did super young. Drugs were also part of it. I had so many older friends were were addicted to pain killers
I agree, Euphoria is a lot like my HS experience (even Nate pulling the gun in Maddy was relatable 😩). I grew up in a a small town. Graduated in 2010. We all drank (this started in middle school). Some smoked weed and some popped pills. There were secret rehab visits from those who had the money and those that didn’t dropped out. Literally watched guys snort pills next me in class. And these are the IB / AP classes. 😩

Wow super similar experience.. I just don’t get those who say that their high school wasn’t like that. I graduated in 2014 but the way things were going the classes after were doomed. Let’s not even get into the nudes trading everyone was doing.

Wow. I went to catholic school the only scandalous thing was girls getting pregnant and getting kicked out for being pregnant.
