Cogno AI Hey fishes, One of my friends, got offer in cognizant. She have an epfo account with inactive UAN and she changed her name in aadhar recently and this epfo account has the past name. So she raised request for name change 2 months ago and still it's processing. And now cognizant asking the acknowledgement of changed name which the previous company cannot provide for obvious reasons. Will it affect the doj? Or anyone had this kind of problem before? Ogletree went through a period where making NESH was pretty difficult. I’d say that ended 3-4 years ago and it seems pretty reasonable now. You essentially have to show good work habits and the consensus has to be that you can run your own cases and that you have connections with enough other shareholders that your pipeline of work won’t dry up once you make NESH. Ogletree culture is somewhat office dependent, but generally you will find a low asshole quotient and reasonable people with a wide variety of work and clients.
A1: that’s worth it to me. I’ve decided to join Ogletree. Take the short term cut in pay. Will be far happier and earn the money back later. Totally worth it.
It appears easy to make partner at Akerman although I dont think you make much. I know of midlevel associates who lateraled and made partner after only a few years.

I figured I’d get to non-equity and see how that goes first before committing to equity, but any insights you have on non-equity and equity would be helpful.
