Slalom awaits - it’s like an oasis in the desert of consulting…
Can say i have been with KF and currently have two other offers from other reputable firms with significantly higher base salary (20%+) and more clarity on bonus structure
Culture and work life balance is still TBD
Associates around 100
Senior associates usually around 115-120ish
Principal band is usually close to 150 with extreme focus on billables; not sure the transition period to being fed business to being truly independent biller but several of my colleagues are stressed beyond measure as Y1 principals

I went from KF to a tech company’s internal consulting group and got a really nice pay bump (40%!). I work WAY less (not that KF overworked me) too! KF was a great brand and experience to have. If you’re sticking with facilitation, it might be worth going internal but at a tech firm, pharma, or other industry that pays decent. Internal L&D (versus consulting) tends to be lower workloads. there’s lots of l&d hiring right now in response to attrition.
How bad of pay are we talking? Ranges?
I was a consultant at KF, then senior consultant, and made <$100K base pay + bonuses in Chicago. I think at any other major firm an experienced but entry-level consulting role was at least $100K base.
