Any insights on the Kellogg one year MBA? Is this program competitive in comparison to the two-year? Any info appreciated

Current 1Y at Kellogg. If you’re not looking to pivot, the program is an incredible career accelerator with an exceptionally tight-knit class. The unique structure—having all 1Ys together in Evanston during the summer without first/second years—really strengthens those bonds. Unless you’re using an MBA to make a major career change, I highly recommend it.

Probably NOT as competitive because there are fewer folks who are applying.

It is a great program if you are looking to accelerate your career not make a major change.

Also, you need to have completed several 'core' classes to be eligible for Kellogg 1Y.

You are in a smaller cohort (summer start) that then blends into the larger group of second years returning from their internships.

One nice thing about 1Y is that Kellogg 'saves' some leadership roles in clubs for those who start in the summer so you can be engaged in initiatives, not just be a member.

As said above, 1Y has prereqs to make sure you have taken certain courses. I have seen that the cohorts tend to be close because they spend the summer before second years come back in the fall. Unsure on competitiveness relatively to the two year program.

If you're looking to pivot, it probably isn't great because you don't get an opportunity to do a summer internship but if you want to make a small change, then it can be helpful. You'll have access to the same electives for the most part as 2Y. I'd probably recommend the program for folks who are pretty decisive.

I recently applied to graduate school for a Master’s at my old undergraduate college and a prestigious name-brand school. I kind of find it hilarious that the name brand-school accepted me while my old college rejected me. I didn’t have the most stellar grades and I had a lot of help in my essays but regardless I still found it funny at the end I would be attending the name-brand school and my old college rejected me.

Does ADHD have a big impact on your memory? It feels like if I don't have constant reminders set or leave notes for myself I can forget ANYTHING even if it's really important to me. Hi everyone! In this field, when choosing a masters degree program is it more beneficial to get a degree in Human Resources to further my knowledge in HR (my undergraduate degree is in Economics) , an MBA, or Data Science Degree due to the fact that HR is becoming more data driven as well as get a PHR / SHRM-CP certification?

Genuinely curious question: why do so many international students want to get MBAs in the US... it’s hard for them to get work here, with Trump it’s hard to even get and stay here, so what’s the appeal? Just to put some intro
I am 22 years after college experience and worked in consulting for 15 years and currently in industry for 7 years.
My long term goal is to go back to consulting more of a business advisor from a strategy perspective
Here is my question
Would MBA be any good for me especially looking at strategy side?
I don’t want to spend $200K and would probably go online MBA in a mid tier school. Are those any good?
Looking forward to your great input on this topic
