I interviewed for an entry-level position a few years ago. Felt professional until the end when they ghosted me and I later saw on LinkedIn that they hired someone much less qualified. I remember that the Glassdoor reviews were concerning, but that might have changed by now.
Hi! I know this is an older post - but can you elaborate?

Not sure why there’s a lot of distaste for the firm on here. My process was straightforward, but I did get the job so the experience may be different for those who didn’t. The firm definitely has a preference for people who go to top private schools and fit into the classic white collar stereotypes in lobbying firms or boutique strategy firms. It was founded by a member of the Kennedy family along with one of his business friends, so this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
The work done is often focused on commercial/legal due diligence for investments. There is a fair bit of post M&A market and growth strategy assessments as well to find opportunities, though these are usually tied to pre-deal diligences we have completed.
In terms of culture, the hours are definitely high. The senior leadership is ex-T2 and MBB on the consulting side or from Congress or high level policy positions in healthcare federal agencies on the legislative side. I’ve generally worked between 55-80 hours a week in my time here, but people are nice. Compensation is in line with other consulting firms. It is higher at the senior levels and lower at the junior levels.
I have seen several junior employees go to top graduate schools and senior employees exiting into other strong executive roles in federal agencies or industry companies. Turnover is high as most people don’t plan to stay within advisory for the long term, but the firm is highly supportive of this.
