Do what ever you find is sustainable, the only way it’ll work is if you stick with it. That being said I enjoyed the style in F45 because I hate running in OT.
Start slow and easy. Jumping in headfirst to a 6 day/ week regime is a recipe for quick burnout
Die hard OT fan over here! Was in a similar spot as you when I started (about 10 months ago) and have been amazed with the progress I’ve made- just from going to classes 4x a week. They really “gamify” the class and it’s so rewarding to see your stats improve little by little. When I started, I couldn’t run for more than 3 min without stopping. Now I run a 7 min mile :)
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying OT and seeing it work well for you. Interesting point on the “gamify” comment. I hate “running for fun” but will run all day when it’s for sports/competition
I personally prefer less stressful activities. I find work is stressful enough. My preference is lifting weights, yoga, and walking. I do one of those three every day. This has helped me stay consistent. For example, if I don’t feel like working out and it’s raining outside, it’s much easier to convince myself to stretch/do yoga. If it’s a beautiful day, I can take a walk.
Very good point! Thanks for the suggestions. I do need to incorporate stretching more in my life
I like Equinox classes ..
I started with OT a few years ago and enjoyed it. Recently started CrossFit because I was looking for more lifting/higher intensity cardio.
Focus on what you eat. 70-80% of body shaping and energy comes from that.
Good point! Need to get better at this as well!
Do whichever you like the best and are most likely to want to keep doing. Both should offer you a free first class

OT is a good place to start. The classes are at your own pace and you definitely feel It the next day. Suggest trying the 8 class pack per month and scaling up to unlimited if you’re able to go to 3-4 classes a week.
Thanks everyone for everyone’s input/experiences!

F45 for sure and lean out the diet. 2-3 months you’ll look way better
Whatever you pick, make sure it’s something you enjoy and look forward to, even if it’s brutal in the moment. It’s way easier to keep motivation.
I used to work out MAYBE 1x a week, but then I found barre and really love it- now I make a point to go 3x a week. You need 3x+ a week for results and also eat healthy.
