Your best bet is this. Find someone at a local Insurance Agency like a State Farm or farmers whose agent is making them do the selling. They hate it tell him you'll never have to sell anything but an appointment for you. They will show up and be thankful.
Yeah... I concur. I think we offer competitive pay for Boas if you're a branch out in the country where being a BOA may be a great paying job (comparatively) and also one of the few jobs around.... Inside or near a metro area.... You're sol.
My one piece of advice is to pay attention to that assessment they give. Do NOT hire a c or d candidate. Just don't. I did and it fucking sucked. My second go around I hired an A. She's AMAZING.
Always hire people smarter then you if your ego can stand it. It will always make you look good and pay them well!
It's very difficult because you can't give them a competitive paycheck until your profit bonus is large enough. Like level 6 or 7 is when your boa can make 50-65k
Yep. Hire someone not just out for the biggest pay check.
Hire people smarter then and pay them well!
I'd welcome hiring someone smarter than me. I'd pay them well if our structure allowed for it. I'd even pay out of my pocket to an extent. Just hard to find someone willing to work for what a typical receptionist (or babysitter) makes in our town yet expect them to possess the high level of personal responsibility, intention to detale, sense of urgency, work ethic and smarts required to do the job.
