Anyone taken the GD test after having covid recently? I have my test in 10 days and I'm currently recovering from covid.

I’m 8.5 weeks pregnant and throwing up once per day, mostly after the majority of my lunch has been digested and sometimes after all of it has digested so I’m gagging and nothing coming up. It’s so hard to see the end of this road, I feel miserable.

What measures has your company taken to minimize losses due to covid?

We were forced to take 6 days leave in April (bovenwettelijk) which was kind of a weird move. I don’t think our bonuses are getting cut this year so if it’s my bonus or 6 days leave I’d gladly take the latter.

Does anyone in this group have ADHD? Are you finding that working in a law firm setting and billing hours is just not something they can do or is it possible with the proper medication and therapy?

I don’t cut my hours, I consistently reach 7 hours a day, but it’s not enough to meet my firm’s minimum requirement. I’m usually working 9 hours/day.

Stress is causing a massive flare-up of racing thoughts recently. I feel like it's been at least a week or two since I last was able to completely clear my mind. And if it's not random stream-of-consciousness mess, it's music. Ever had a song stuck in your head? Because I've had one for four days now. Driving me nuts. Anyone else struggle with this/have a solution?

If our mental health is not good at the moment, how do we convey it to the team? Most of the folks in my team take such things lightly and I feel weird to let them know about it. So I just have to lie and put a sick leave.

I slightly dropped my MacBook and apparently (slightly) damaged the keyboard and trackpad as per service Center. I don’t see any visible damage to the system but that’s what they say and are charging me about 28k for this even though my system is in warranty period (will complete a year in a few days). Last night I went over to my friends house (she has 2 kids, 2 and 4 yo). She and her husband were asking me about my pregnancy and planning. And were asking what I’ve prepped to date. I’m only 13w2 days so I think it’s way to early for buying stuff, but I did mention we hired a baby nurse for when the baby comes. My friend completely berated me, short of calling me a bad mom already, saying “what is she going to do all day? Don’t you want to bond with your child?”. I’m so upset by this.

With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. First trimester insomnia?
I’m only about 5 weeks, but my sleep schedule has gone off the rail the last three nights. I’m sleepy/drowsy, settled in bed around the same time every night, and yet I cannot fall or stay asleep. I have a white noise machine, comfy bed, cool room.. etc. When I do fall asleep, it’s earlier in the morning and I sleep until 1/1:30pm. This was fine the first few nights since it was the weekend, but it can’t keep up. Anyone else experience this and have any recommendations?

Feeling really nervous, help! I’ve been using topical hydroquinone 4% since before I found out I was pregnant. Now reading the label I realise that it’s not advised and a category C by the FDA - I’m 6 weeks pregnant and have obviously stopped now but really scared I might have caused serious harm to my baby.

Ladies, did you put on make up before your delivery for photo purposes?

My first prenatal visit was billed as “absence of menstruation” instead of “prenatal visit”, therefore my insurance is not covering it (insurance only covers prenatal visits). Is this normal? Did the doctor make a mistake with coding?

I’m getting really discouraged by the process of finding a daycare. Currently 32w pregnant and it’s crazy to me that literally no daycare I’ve spoken to can speak to availabilities in the Spring. It’s nothing but waitlists. Should I have started looking sooner? Starting to get worried that my maternity leave will and and we will still have zero plan on how to get childcare.

How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager. I was waiting to negotiate my salary for next year but per company trend that doesn’t get set until January (manager reviews are written in Dec).
