Any other attorneys go years with high blood pressure then finally lower it to normal with the right medications and feel like they are less productive or even imposter syndrome because the constant visceral panic is gone?

I have a mix of ADD/anxiety. I tried SSRIs but hated them because I felt like a useless but content potato. I’ve had the best year of my life after being on vyvanse for ADD. It helps my anxiety because it makes me feel capable of tackling all things life throws at me. I still have to exercise and meditate regularly because vyvanse doesn’t take physical symptoms of anxiety away, but I’m overall doing great. I’ve always wondered how attorneys can take SSRIs and still keep up.

Medication doesn’t go to the source of the issue. Work on the source to possibly extend your years of life.

OP don't post if you don't want responses. Pretty simple. Seems like you just wanted to fight people.

Tbh I have perfect blood pressure but have dealt with anxiety my whole life. Over the past few years I’ve gotten it under such good control that I finally feel like I have a well adjusted nervous system. I get so much more done in a purposeful way because I no longer get the anxiety paralysis.

So not with high blood pressure but have def had that issue with getting anxiety in check. My psych said that’s really common particularly with high achievers with adhd that rely on fueling anxiety and panic into success. It’s a weird feeling for sure

I made a mistake. I talked with the ex this morning. He said he misses me. And that while he walk talking to the other woman, he wished he was talking to me instead. And when he saw that I didn’t respond to his texts, he drank a shit ton. And then called this morning.

He’s not willing to commit to the other women because he’s not over me.

I need to block him.

Thoughts on sending out assignments over the weekend? I work a lot on weekends, but I don’t expect associates too. But, because I work on weekends, I often will send out assignments by email with a clear indication in subject line and body that it does not need to be completed or worked on over the weekend. A friend recently mentioned this isn’t the best since seeing the assignment may create unnecessary stress and anxiety. So, what say you? Am I terrible partner?

(Small firm, only associate under this partner and have been working at the firm for 2 years). I’m junior to two Legal Counsel (I work in-house) who are passive aggressive towards each other. They don’t attend each other’s meetings and leave each other out of email CC’s. It’s pretty clear this is done on purpose as one of them has bitched to me about the other.
