Watch graphic design and data visualization videos on YouTube. Read books and pay attention to the impactful moments in the story’s plot & what makes them impactful moments. Made to Stick is a great book to read on how to tell meaningful stories that “stick” for your audience. Also, find someone in your organization who is known for their storytelling/PPT skills and have them send you their favorite decks — you can repurpose them. Better yet, ask if you can watch their screen as they make their deck from concept to content development. Best advice is allow yourself to have fun & be creative, this is the part of our jobs that’s less serious!
