Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?
Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

I accepted an offer with a tech company, with a six figure salary, 4 day work week and completely remote. I didn’t mention this current role to them and it’s not on my LinkedIn. I extended my previous role by 2 months.
I’ve already signed the offer but I’m worried that they’ll see this 2 month gap.
Should I be worried?
I have a feeling you may have commented on another post! I’d love to chat!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but misrepresentation of employment dates or omitting employment is a red flag for a company. With that being said, some companies don’t do employment verifications.
Could you ask the recruiter what their onboarding and background process looks like so you could prep documents? This is a normal question we get often. If they say they do employment verification it would be wise to explain the gap and the reason for the gap. It’s better than waiting for the background company to flag the dates not matching your resume.
In the future honesty is the best policy! Most people will understand and if they don’t, do you really want to work for them?
Sounds like an awesome opportunity, spill their tea and let us know where it is so we can all apply!😂 goodluck! I hope everything works out.

If they have given you the offer and there isn't any sort of upcoming background check or reference review, then you should be okay. Once you've been given the job what is on your resume is largely irrelevant.
The omission of your current job isn't a problem, however lying about your exit date is a lie and you should not have done it. Update your resume ASAP with the correct date.
Additional. I completely understand about the poor onboarding process. One company spent most of NHO doing group activities and talking about the company "mission", but virtually no actually useful information to help with onboarding. Questions were answered with "that information is on the company confluence pages," and except for picking up my laptop it served no purpose.
Ah, was that what that meant? "extended my previous by 2 months" is the new exit date?
