Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Lincoln park
Age? From my experience chances are you'll enjoy living in a northern neighborhood in the city proper vs a suburb.
Suburbs are where people go to die (figuratively and literally). If you're single, even less the reason to move out there. (And I say that as a middle aged single guy)
I have a car and live in the city. It's expensive but it's worth it. Chicago is a very very very neighborhood place. You go out where you stay.
No no.. Seriously. I didn't meant to offend. I am just trying to not shoot over a budget to stay alone and I don't prefer to share. That's good information
This app has ruined me for decent conversation haha.
I second KPMG. I know it's not the best for saving money but you should live a little if you're just starting out.
You also wouldn't need a car.
Old Town is a good place to be
+1 for Lincoln park, especially if you're under 30
Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Wrigleyville if you want cheaper but still fun things to do.
River North!
If you do want to live in the suburbs Oak Park and Evanston are your best bets. Good town down areas and access to the city
Oak park if you want to be near stuff and affordable. Evanston is a little less accessible and more pricey. However, Lincoln park is not to be beat at any age bracket. Yuppie paradise to million dollar single family homes. It's nowhere near affordable if you're just starting out unless you don't have loans or live in a walk up studio.
Well I am not reserved and do need a quiet neighborhood:) Just that I have to keep my vehicle and that's the only reason of not being in the city
*do not need a quiet neighborhood
That's great KPMG 4. Appreciate that attitude.
^im hoping that wasn't sarcasm? Honestly, if you want a place with affordable parking and still with bars and stuff, Irving park and Logan square are great. Depends on your age
